Contest Details:

Organizer: Shree Vagad Graduates Association – SVGA

Registration: Participants will have to register for this Makeathon on the following link:

The last date for registration is – 31st Oct 2017.

Eligibility Criteria: Anyone with a knack for Coding.
Participation in Makeathon is “Open to All” – individual programmers/teams/agencies from Vagad/Kutch community. However, all the participants are expected to abide by SVGA Code of Conduct

Problem Statement: Problem Statement will be shared via E-mail to registered participants only, on 01st Nov 2017.

Duration: 2 Weeks (Development)

Prizes: Cash Prizes & Vouchers and a chance to win major web/app development projects from SVGA

Rules and Regulations:

1. Discussing problem statement or any aspect of the problem, on any other platform on the web, on identification, could lead to disabling of respective registration.
2. Any participant found to be indulging in any form of malpractice will be immediately disqualified.
3. Final Deliverables should be in working condition (as defined in problem statement) and will be tested by our critical test data.
4. Participants are not allowed to view code base from other participants.
5. In case of any disputes, organizer’s decision will be final.

2. The decision of the organizers in declaring the results will be final. No queries in this regard will be entertained.

1. How should I register for the challenge?
Participants will have to register for this Makeathon on the following link:

2. What is the eligibility for participation in Makeathon?
Makeathon is open for Individual Developers, Teams & Agencies from Vagad/Kutch community.

3. As a student, can I participate in Makeathon?
Yes, Participation in Makeathon is open to all developers from Vagad/Kutch community.

4. Can there be individual participation?
Yes, you can register for Makeathon as an Individual.

5. Is there any restriction on choice of the Programming Language?
No, you are free to choose any programming language for Makeathon. Open Source and Free to use languages will be preferred over Paid technologies.

6. Is there any preference on the choice of Technical Architecture?
No, But the solution should be modular & easy to integrate with existing infrastructure.

7. Can I use Paid Components/Extensions in my solution?
We would prefer the use of Open Source/Free to use components over Paid/Licensed components in final solution.

8. Who will own the Code/IP generated as part of the Makeathon?
Code submitted to SVGA during Makeathon will become the property of SVGA, and SVGA reserves the right to use the code in full or in part or modify the code.

9. What all do I need to submit as Deliverables?
The Deliverables includes your final working Source Code, Design Report, Test Data & Test Report.
List of all deliverables will also be mentioned in the Email which will be sent along with the Problem Statement.

10. When is the last date for submission?
All Deliverables should reach us via Email latest by 16th Nov 2017, 5.00 pm.

11. What is the Final Demo Event?
All Participants who will successfully submit the working product, following the timeline, will be invited to showcase the working of their product on 18th Nov 2017. Winners will be chosen from these participants.

12. Which Email ID should I use to connect with SVGA?
All your communication with SVGA should be sent on svgaindia@gmail.com. The subject line should start with “Makeathon@SVGA: “ followed by your subject.

13. When and where the winners be declared?
Winners will be announced at the end of the Makeathon on 24th Nov 2017 via email to all the participants and advertisement in Patrika/other mediums.
